These Terms & Conditions ("Terms") govern your access to and use of The Lap Club website, web application, and related services at lapclub.com.au ("the Service"). By creating an account, joining the waitlist, entering a promotion, or using the Service, you agree to these Terms.
If you do not agree to these Terms, you must not use the Service. We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be posted on this page with a revised "Last updated" date. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.
The Lap Club is a travel-planning and caravanning companion for Australian road trips ("the Big Lap"). Features may include trip planning, campsite and fuel maps, logbooks, budgets, Camp Pulse crowd updates, emergency tools, and community integrations.
The Service is currently offered as a beta. Features, pricing, and availability may change without notice. We do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation.
You agree not to:
You may submit reviews, photos, hazard reports, pulse updates, logbook entries, and other content ("User Content"). You retain ownership of your User Content but grant Lap Club a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence to use, display, and distribute it within the Service for the purpose of operating and improving the platform.
You represent that you have the right to submit User Content and that it does not infringe third-party rights. We may remove content that violates these Terms or applicable law.
Map, campsite, and fuel data may be sourced from third parties and open datasets. We do not warrant the accuracy, completeness, or timeliness of third-party data. Always verify critical information (road access, fire bans, pricing) independently before travel.
From time to time we run free-entry promotions (including milestone giveaways on our Facebook community). Unless stated otherwise in the specific promotion:
Current promotion terms are published at lapclub.com.au/giveaway. In the event of conflict between these general Terms and promotion-specific rules, the promotion rules prevail for that promotion.
Paid plans, when offered, are billed through our payment provider (e.g. Stripe) on a recurring basis unless cancelled. Prices are shown in Australian dollars unless stated otherwise. Refund and cancellation terms will be disclosed at checkout and in your account billing settings.
During beta, some features may be free or subject to change. We will provide reasonable notice before charging for features that were previously free where practicable.
The Service is provided "as is" and "as available". To the maximum extent permitted by law, we disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose.
Emergency and safety features (including SOS tools) are supplementary aids only. They are not a substitute for calling 000 (or the appropriate emergency number) in a life-threatening situation. We do not guarantee emergency alerts will be delivered or acted upon.
Travel decisions are your responsibility. Lap Club does not provide professional travel, legal, financial, or safety advice.
To the maximum extent permitted by the Australian Consumer Law and other applicable legislation, Lap Club Pty Ltd and its directors, employees, and contractors are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential loss arising from your use of the Service — including lost profits, data loss, travel disruption, or property damage — except where liability cannot be excluded by law.
Where liability cannot be excluded, our liability is limited, at our option, to re-supplying the Service or paying the cost of having the Service re-supplied.
You may stop using the Service at any time. We may suspend or terminate your access if you breach these Terms or if we discontinue the Service. Provisions that by their nature should survive termination (including disclaimers, liability limits, and licences granted) will survive.
These Terms are governed by the laws of Australia. You submit to the non-exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of the state or territory in which Lap Club Pty Ltd primarily conducts business, without prejudice to mandatory consumer rights in your home state or territory.
